    Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP) test battery by Richard Wagner, PhD, Joseph K. Torgesen, MD, and Carol Rashotte, PhD has two versions for different age groups - ages 5-6 and ages 7-24. Both versions assess specific phonological strengths and weakness.

     

    Awareness and access to the phonological structure of oral language is measured by the Phonological Awareness Quotient (PAQ).

    The Phonological Memory Quotient (PMQ) measures the ability to code information phonologically for temporary storage in working or short-term memory.

    The Rapid Naming Quotient (RNQ) measures efficient retrieval of phonological information from long-term or permanent memory, as well as the ability to execute a sequence of operations quickly and repeatedly.
